Part of Eat Local's mission is to connect community residents with local food producers and we want everyone to have access to the fresh, local food available at the Ringwood Farmers' Market. Stop by the manager's table to convert your EBT cards to Green Market Bucks that can be used to make purchases throughout the market.
Now you can earn Double Your Dollars when you use your EBT at the Ringwood Farmers' Market! Every time you visit, double the value of your EBT up to $10. So if you use $5 on your EBT card, you get $10 in Green Market Bucks to spend at the market. Spend $10, get $20 in Green Market Bucks. It's simple!
Accepting EBT is popular with our vendors and with our customers. Our vendors are able to provide fresh, affordable food to the community and our customers are able to feed their families with better, healthier fruits and vegetables by using their EBT benefits.

Since 2009, in our effort to bring fresh, local food to Ringwood, Eat Local Inc. has invited local businesses and residents to partner with us to help the growing number of families and individuals in our neighborhood who are struggling with food bills. To help us bring our mission to those who are serviced by the Center for Food Action (CFA) of Mahwah, the local food pantry located at the Presbyterian Church on Carltondale Road, Ringwood, Eat Local Inc. established the Healthy Families Program.
The CFA serves the hungry of Ringwood, West Milford and Wanaque. These families have limited means and access to local, fresh food. Most of what they receive at the food pantry is in cans and boxes to be used at any time. In the first year Eat Local was able to deliver $600 in "Market Bucks" to the CFA for its clients to spend at the Ringwood Farmers Market to purchase fresh produce. This year Eat Local has raised $1,000 to give to the CFA for its clients to use at the market.
